About BLRC

The business was started by Grenville Savage in 1988. His interest in Land Rovers lead to him buying and breaking some of the old Series vehicles, consequently selling the parts to a growing market. The earliest memory, which he puts down to starting the interest in Land Rovers, is of travelling across fields in the back of his grandfathers 80” Series 1 on the farm.

BLRC expanded as customers started looking for a parts fitting service. Workshop services, including refurbishment was then introduced. During this time, the Northern Ireland 4-Wheel Drive Club had formed, and thus increasing the customer base.

Through these contacts, Andrew McDowell joined the business in 1992. With the developing market, it was evident that there was a gap for specialist Land Rover servicing, including the sale of parts and accessories at a competitive price.

Over the following years, the business grew owing to our focus on customer care and excellent service. BLRC now employs an enthusiastic staff of 10, with very detailed knowledge of Land Rover vehicles. The workshop features the latest diagnostic equipment with 5 ramps that allow us to carry out the very varied nature of our work. We also have dedicated staff dealing with mail order, counter sales and workshop provision.
